Library Resource Centre
The Lowanna library holds a wide range of learning resources including an extensive collection of books and magazines. CD-ROM and audio-visual facilities, computerised catalogues and loan systems mean that students have excellent access to the collection and at the same time develop their computer skills. The Library has its own computer facilities for research. The Library Resource Centre is open throughout the school day, including recess and lunch times so students have ample opportunity to use and borrow material for study and recreation.

Career Resource Centre
The Career Resource Centre provides comprehensive resources and services for our students to assist them with their post school preparation. Some of the services offered include: course and career guidance, pathways planning, job interview preparation and work experience/work placement. We have our own collection of videos and DVDs and a library of books and publications that students are able to take home. For senior students there is information on University and TAFE courses, scholarships and student services. Students are also able to access information on the career centres four computers and the centre is open throughout the day and most recess and lunch times. Students are encouraged to participate in the many career related excursions and events that are organised throughout the year.

Gymnasium & Auditorium
A 580-seat auditorium supports a strong performing arts program and a double gymnasium with sprung floor enhances the Exemplary Physical Education and Sports program. These facilities not only benefit Lowanna students but also are made readily available to the wider community. The College Council has ensured that the resources that were provided when the College was established have been continually maintained and renewed through sound budgeting, providing a replacement program through depreciation allowance.

Gym
The College has a fully equipped gym with a ange of cardio equipment, machine weights and free weights. Gym programs are incorporated into curriculum and are also offered at lunchtimes and after school for students.

Outdoor Sporting Facilities
The College has a football oval, soccer pitch, basketball, netball and tennis courts all on-site. As well as this, Lowanna is located within close proximity to the Newborough Recreation Reserve which includes a heated swimming pool, running and cycling tracks.

Horticultural Area and Farms
A Horticultural Area and Mini Farm has been established at the College. The area is used by the Science Area of Learning and other groups within the College. The College Farm is situated close to the College and is used for Agricultural and Horticultural Studies at Senior and Middle School and by Junior Science classes.

Canteen
The College hosts a canteen which provides a wide range of food (hot and cold). VCE students are also given the privilege of accessing the local Newark Avenue Shop. Year 7 - 10 students are not permitted to leave the grounds unless they have a lunch pass indicated on their ID card and are only to go home or under special circumstances to a nominated relative (e.g. grandparents).

Video Surveillance - Is provided around the College to assist with student’s safety and welfare.
