Farewell to Year 12s

This week we farewell our VCE Year 12 students;  in 95% of cases our students have been fantastic.  In light of media reports about activities at other schools I think we can be proud of our students in this school.  We wish the entire group of departing Year 12 Senior School students all the very best for the future.  

National Youth Science Forum

Congratulations to Jacob Keenan who has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum at the ANU in Canberra next January.  Jason has been an outstanding ambassador for our college and this enhancement program is “a real feather in his cap” as well as a credit to the college’s science teachers.

Attendance and Uniform

Could I remind all of our students and parents about the importance of student attendance and uniform.  Despite the fact that our Year 12’s will finish,  the rest of the school will operate as normal and we have an expectation that all students will attend and will be in uniform.  The uniform policy is in the diary and on our website.

SMS Attendance Notification

If parents/guardians are concerned about their child’s attendance we have a SMS trial where parents are notified first thing in the morning by text.  
This trial is happening at Year 7-12 for 2009.  Please contact Barb in the Junior School, Donna in the Middle School or Julie in the Senior School for further details.
