Confucius Classroom – Chinese
The Confucius Classroom at Lowanna is affiliated with the Confucius Institute at the University of Melbourne. This close association allows Lowanna to sponsor an international Chinese teacher who organizes the Chinese language program at the college and several local primary schools. A Chinese language program is offered from Year 7 to 10 and students participate in a range of cultural activities and excursions. The Confucius Classroom program aims to inspire and increase students’ cultural understanding of China, while also being fun and interactive. The magic of Asia is waiting around the corner.
Lowanna College would like to welcome Zhong Hua (Echo) who has recently arrived from China and will be teaching Chinese to our students as well as local primary schools. Echo will be a valuable addition to the College.
